Why?

In a context where unpredictable acts of violence are on the rise—particularly in schools, public spaces, and businesses—it is essential to prepare for the risk of amok-type behavior. Although such events are rare, their consequences can be severe on human, psychological, and organizational levels.
SBIS SA supports Swiss institutions in developing and implementing robust, pragmatic, and reality-based safety strategies. Through risk analysis and targeted staff training, we actively contribute to creating safer and more resilient environments.

What Is It

The phenomenon of amok refers to a state of sudden, uncontrollable rage, often triggered by deep psychological distress. It manifests in violent attacks, usually directed randomly at surrounding individuals. This behavior is well documented in psychiatry and is now recognized as a real threat in modern societies.
SBIS SA addresses this phenomenon with expertise and a systematic approach. Our safety concepts incorporate concrete technical, organizational, and human measures to prevent, detect early, and respond effectively to such threats.
